The India Meteorological Department (IMD) sent nearly 65 lakh messages to the folks in eastern and southern India to offer them updates about Cyclone Fani that hit the Odisha coast previous this month, stated IMD in a report to the Union govt. Nearly part of the 59,37,365 messages have been sent to the farmers of Odisha that saw the utmost destruction destruction due to Fani.
