Fani fury wrecked havoc on the city airport on Friday morning, several hours sooner than the critical cyclonic typhoon in the end ploughed into Bengal. As the hastily changing dynamics of the cyclone kept airport operator AAI and the airlines on tenterhooks, aviation regulator changed the timing for the airport’s closure and next reopening, in step with stories from the meteorological place of work.
