Delhi HC rejects plea for ‘chur chur’ trademark

Pardeep Kumar Jain, the landlord of Jain’s Amritsari Chur Chur Naan, Paharganj, took his rival Rajan Seth to court, claiming that chur chur naan used to be “created” through his father in the 1980s. Jain filed a petition in the high court towards Seth for the usage of the time period as part of his eateries' name. The court, alternatively, dominated that that chur chur naan is a generic time period.
