All squadrons have special patches made to commemorate their feats that are worn on their flying overalls. Keeping up with the custom, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s MiG-21 Bison squadron has been given new patches namely- ‘Falcon Slayers’ and ‘AMRAAM Dodgers’, to mark the taking pictures down of a Pakistani F-16 throughout the aerial skirmish on February 27.
