PUNE: The National Institute of Open Schooling ( NIOS) under the Ministry of Human Resources Development and National health mission, Public Health Department, Government of Maharashtra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday at Arogya Bhavan, Mumbai.
This MoU is targeted at providing Vocational programmes to the Health Service Providers of National Health Mission (NHM) through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The purpose is to impart uniform, structured and quality training to Multipurpose Health Workers, Class III Male Health Workers and Community Health Workers, adopted through their review, evaluation and certification. In addition, Secondary, Senior Secondary, Vocational schooling and Community Health Workers certification can be performed for ASHAs. NIOS will even expand customised lessons and training programmes for NHM as in step with want analysis.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), an independent establishment under the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, is the world’s biggest open schooling gadget with cumulative enrolment of greater than 4.5 million freshmen. It is approved through the Govt of India to enrol, educate and certify freshmen within the house of academic, vocational and technical schooling upto pre degree stage through open and distance mode. In 2018-19, it successfully undertook the world’s biggest in carrier fundamental instructor training programme. It is also all in favour of offering ability development through providing greater than 100 vocational lessons in numerous spaces.
