NTA to conduct entrance exams for Delhi University

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency will probably be undertaking front exams of greater than 180 courses, including undergraduate programmes, of the Delhi University. Admission to undergraduate courses in keeping with front examinations -- through which admissions will probably be made in keeping with marks scored within the front take a look at and qualifying elegance 12 examination. There are 11 undergraduate courses to which admissions happen at the foundation of front excluding MPhil, PhD and Masters programmes.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) comes underneath the Ministry of Human Resource Development.


According to Vinay Gupta, dean of examination, the exams will happen in three periods in line with day and there will probably be jammers and CCTV surveillance at the centres.

The two-hour written front examination will encompass more than one choice questions (MCQs) (4 possible choices every) designed to judge the capability of candidates thru spaces as relevant to every subject.


There will probably be 100 questions and every correct answer gets a rating of plus 4 marks, every flawed answer gets minus one mark and a query left unanswered gets a rating o of zero marks.


The front exams will most likely happen between June 20-July 1 and the final agenda will probably be uploaded at the portal. Students will probably be given the first choice whilst choosing their examination centres, Gupta mentioned.


The answers to the query paper will probably be uploaded within 24 hours and 48 hours will probably be given for airing any more or less criticism or challenge within the answers, he mentioned.


The concerned board will declare front exam results within a week.
