Over 21.25 lakh folks in rural North Maharashtra face acute water disaster. More than 50% of these villagers are in Ahmednagar district, adopted by Nashik. The tribal ruled Nandurbar district has the least collection of affected villagers, and the acute water shortage is restricted to a part of one taluka of the district.
