A Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) contractor engaged in filling Silewara mines has allegedly stopped Kanhan river go with the flow over the channel between Navegaon Khairi dam and Kanhan water remedy plant (WTP) by means of setting up a brief highway to move sand. This has affected water supply in north, east and portions of south Nagpur as water stage at Kanhan water remedy plant has additional depleted.
