The Supreme Court Wednesday granted protection from arrest until May 28 to Arjun Singh, the BJP candidate from Barrackpore constituency in West Bengal, in felony instances lodged towards him by way of the state police. A holiday bench comprising Justices Arun Mishra and M R Shah made it clear that Singh is probably not arrested by way of the state police until May 28 in reference to around 20 felony instances lodged towards him.
