Sri Lankan scholar's arrest throws 'spotlights on Wahhabism'

Sri Lankan government have arrested a student for what they claim are hyperlinks with Zahran Hashim, suspected chief of Easter bombings, throwing highlight on emerging influence of Salafi-Wahhabi Islam on the island's Muslims. Mohamed Aliyar is the founding father of the Centre for Islamic Guidance, which boasts a college and a library in Zahran's native land of Kattankudy.
