The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has written to the government to incorporate violations of Central Goods & Services Tax (CGST) Act within the scheduled offense of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) within the aftermath of Rs 4,000 crore price Goods and Services Tax fraud detected in Hyderabad where shell firms created fake invoices to claim input tax credit score and acquire loans with inflated trade volumes.
