LONDON: Nirav Modi, sought after via India in fraud and money laundering fees amounting to nearly $2 billion, on Friday implemented for bail in the UK prime court.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the hearing for his bail petition will happen on June 11.
Nirav Modi was once on Thursday remanded until June 27 via a UK court, which directed the Indian govt to verify inside 14 days which prison he is to be held in if he were to be extradited.
The 48-year-old is sought after in India to stand fees of fraud and money laundering within the Punjab National Bank (PNB) case.
Nirav Modi was once arrested via uniformed Scotland Yard officials on an extradition warrant from a Metro Bank department in central London on March 19 and has been in prison since.
