NEW DELHI: Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will grasp her first pre-budget session assembly with farm our bodies and agricultural experts on Tuesday amid delayed monsoon and drought in some states like Maharasthra.
This will be the first interaction of Sitharaman, who took over as India's first full-time girl finance minister final month, after the BJP-led NDA govt received the second one term.
Sitharaman can be presenting the Modi 2.zero govt's first complete budget on July five.
According to assets, the Finance minister in the assembly would search the views of various agriculture organisations and farm economists on ways to spice up the farm sector growth and double farmers' source of revenue.
The special center of attention can be on giving a spice up to allied farm activities reminiscent of fishery, poultry and animal husbandry.
It is also famous that the federal government has created a separate fishery division and appointed a cabinet rank minister to advertise the allied farm sector.
Most of the farm our bodies have already submitted their memoranda of calls for to the finance ministry for consideration.
Later in the day, Sitharaman will elicit views of industry our bodies on various problems, including steps to spice up FDI inflows and business productivity, as part of the pre-Budget session exercise.
In line with the custom, the NDA govt had presented an intervening time Budget for 2019-20 in February forward of the overall elections.
Now, the federal government can be presenting a typical Budget for the fiscal.
The finance ministry has already indicated that it might be no longer be making main changes in the allocations earmarked for various ministries and departments in the intervening time Budget.
