No toilet for female cops at traffic police stn

That’s for the reason that police station does now not have a separate bathroom for the woman law enforcement officials.

Recently, the High Grounds Traffic Police Station, positioned opposite the Race Course, was renovated, thanks to the Bangalore Turf Club, which were given the leaky roof fixed.

The girls constables say that they are forced to walk 200 metres to the nearest Pay and Use bathroom, which fees Rs 2 and Rs 10 to pee and poop. Or they may be able to make do with the single bathroom in the police station, which is being shared via 119 personnel.

“Many VIPs go via this road but none of them is afflicted about the lack of fundamental facilities at this police station. I can't ask my senior officers to fix this downside, otherwise I can be charged with disciplinary motion,’’ says a lady police constable on the condition of anonymity.

Speaking with Bangalore Mirror, any other girl police constable stated that the Pay and Use bathroom was of now not much lend a hand to ladies police constables. “The Pay and Use bathroom is not open on a daily basis. Meanwhile, Traffic Police Inspector Dayanand M G has stated that he had suggested the employees at the Pay and Use bathroom not to acquire cash from girls police constables.

“All people haven't any downside with the toilet at the police station. Women police constables are also using it. I've now not won any request looking for a separate bathroom for ladies police constables. I am paying cash to the employees at the toilet for permitting girls police constables to make use of the toilet,’’ says Dayanand.

When contacted, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Traffic (Bengaluru East) Dr K V Jagadeesh stated that measures could be taken so that the police station would get a bathroom for ladies police constables.

However, Karnataka State Commission for Women chairperson Nagalakshmi Bai has criticized the law enforcement officials in rate for now not providing a separate bathroom facility for ladies police constables at the High Grounds Traffic Police Station.

“Men can attend nature’s name on the road if there aren't any bathrooms. Where can girls police constables cross in such eventualities? It is the responsibility of the senior law enforcement officials to verify all amenities for ladies police constables. I can discuss with the police station quickly,’’ Naglakshmi Bai stated.

The High Grounds Police Station used to hog the headlines for the entire unsuitable reasons around 10 years ago. The policemen were forced to cope with a rat threat and leaky roofs. Now, it’s time the High Grounds Traffic Police Station to get a bathroom for ladies.
