Sneha and Suman had simply starred in ‘Period. End of Sentence’ which gained an Oscar they usually thought it was once the beginning of a fairy tale. The documentary was once filmed at the sanitary pad-making unit in Kathikeda and spoke of the taboo associated with menstruation in rural India. Set up in 2017, the “factory” had begun with negative feedback from villagers. Some made fun of the individuals who worked there whilst others stated the work was once “dirty”.
