Sri Lanka's President Maithripala Sirisena has sacked the nationwide intelligence chief and will not cooperate with a parliamentary investigation into security lapses prior to the Easter bombings, officials said Saturday. Chief of National Intelligence Sisira Mendis was sacked after attesting to the inquiry last week that the assaults can have been avoided.
