Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department that manages the Srirangam temple has mooted a suggestion to prohibit the use of cell phones in Arulmigu Ranganathaswamy temple in Srirangam. Special locker facility has also been proposed at all the 3 entry points of the temple to permit devotees to keep their cell phones quickly for a minimum amount.
