PATNA: Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, in conjunction with mayor Sita Sahu and senior officials, inspected the Ganga ghats on Sunday and steered the officials to place dustbins and get the arrangements ahead of nahay-khay on Tuesday. He mentioned 200 boats of SDRF and NDRF would patrol the ghats. "Altogether 120 teams of doctors and 211 of paramedical staff along with 33 ambulances will be deployed at the ghats," he mentioned.
Modi mentioned the Chhath arrangements can be executed on the strains of Prakashotsava and boasted the efforts made by means of NDA government within the state in this regard up to now. "Before 2005, the budget for Chhath ghats was Rs20 lakh and the contractors were paid after years. After the NDA government was formed in the state, Chhath has been made a state event," he mentioned.
