PORBANDAR: A man was bludgeoned to demise over a financial dispute in Ranavav early morning on Wednesday. Police have identified the deceased as Mukesh Bhuva (22).
According to police, BJP worker Paresh Tevani, his brother-in-law Ram Vadodara and Nilen Vadhvana, all residents of Ranavav attacked Mukesh with golf equipment and sticks, killing him at the spot at Bapa Sitaram Chowk in Ranavav.
"Our preliminary investigation has revealed that Tevani had borrowed Rs 5,000 from Mukesh's father Bhanaji Bhuva and had not been returning it for the past seven years. At Bhanaji's insistence, Mukesh tried to recover the money from Paresh which led to frequent altercation and fights between them. Last the duo fought during Ganesh festival, after which Paresh decided to bump Mukesh off," said an investigating reputable.
The accused fled after killing Mukesh. They had been booked for the crime at the grievance of Bhanaji Bhuva (52).
