ALLAHABAD: Sleuths of particular job force, on Tuesday, busted an inter-state racket enthusiastic about smuggling of rectified spirit for illegal production of liquor and arrested its nine contributors close to Gauriya talab area of Khaga block in Fatehpur district.

The police have additionally seized a huge amount of rectified spirit and illicit liquor, a transporting automobile, RO machine, packing machine, 7,000 bottles, liquid for colouring liquor, 15,000 faux hologrms and different articles from the spot.


The arrested persons have been recognized as Piyush Yadav of Khaga, Yogesh singh of Pratapgarh, Tinu of Ghaziabad, Vijay Singh of Manikpur, Dipak Kumar of Pratapgarh, Sarvajeet singh of Baghrai, Kamasideen of Pratapgarh, Rajoo and Nayan Kumar of Sakardaha (Pratapgarh).


Additional SP (STF) Pravin Singh Chauhan mentioned, "A team of STF officials, appearing upon a specific tip-off about illegal liquor being ready in a area close to Gauraiya Talab area, raided the spot and stuck nine persons getting ready illicit liquor using rectified spirit.


He further added that one Vijay Singh used to provide rectified spirit from Punjab and Haryana and the liquor production was being carried out in a rented development. The liquor was then supplied to Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Allahabad, Kanpur and Fatehpur districts.


ASP claimed that around 25-30 litres of illegal liquor was being made via one litre of rectified spirit. After getting ready liquor, it was sealed in bottles and faux holograms have been getting used for the sale.
