PUNE: The conventional October warmth is back with above-normal day temperatures and top humidity during the last few days but a reduction could come after a few days in the type of rain on account of a gadget anticipated over the Bay of Bengal.
The day temperature in the city has been ranging between 32°C and 34°C this present day. On October 1, the absolute best temperature was once 34.6°C — 4 levels greater than standard. On Wednesday, the day temperature recorded in India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Shivajinagar observatory was once 33.7°C — round 3 levels higher than the traditional. Lohegaon was once a tad cooler at 33.5°C, round 1.5 levels above traditional.
Usually, it is the other way round. Lohegaon stories higher temperature than Shivajinagar.
The humidity, too, has been peaking during the last few days, adding to the discomfort. On Wednesday morning, town's relative humidity was once 90%, round 6% higher than standard. The above-normal humidity degree remained in the course of the day. The relative humidity on Wednesday evening was once 69% — about 5% above traditional.
"Warm northerly winds are blowing into the state, while the easterlies coming from the east are bringing along moisture. This is increasing the heat and discomfort levels. However, there is an absence of the lifting mechanism of these winds. Hence, there has been no rain in the past few days. Winds converging and getting lifted results in rain. This lifting is not taking place. The heat may, therefore, continue for another two days. Thereafter, we expect some rain due to a system over the Bay of Bengal," an IMD legit stated.
The gadget is anticipated to move inland, bringing rather well-liked rain in Konkan, central Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada, particularly on October 7 and eight. Rain and thundershowers are anticipated in Pune also after a few days, particularly from October 7, every other IMD legit stated.
