AHMEDABAD: Bar Council of Gujarat (BCG) has issued a remark pronouncing that the advocates who do not move the exam of Bar Council of India (BCI) won't be able to apply in any court of the state.
The remark issued through BCG chairman Bharat Bhagat and its disciplinary committee chairman Anil Kella said that the BCI had in 2010 offered the exam. There have been 17,745 advocates from Gujarat who enrolled with BCG and began practicing through obtaining a provisional certificate. Around 3,000 advocates from them are yet to move the BCI exam. If those advocates do not be successful in the exam then they'd be barred from apply and also will now not get vote casting rights for the bar elections, Bhagat stated.
