GREATER NOIDA: The family of a 33-year-old Jewar resident working in Myanmar has accused Kailash medical institution in Greater Noida of refusing to confess him when he went there for remedy. At the time, Ram Kumar was once running a temperature of 103 levels, his family claimed.
Kumar later were given admitted to another medical institution.
"My brother works in Myanmar. He had fever, which did not come down even after five days of treatment. Then we called him back to India. His flight landed late Friday night and he reached Pari Chowk around midnight. We took him to Kailash hospital immediately as he was having abdominal pain and feeling dizzy," Ram's elder brother Priyavrit Parmar mentioned.
Priyavrit mentioned he and Ram reached the medical institution at the side of their father, went to the emergency and asked immediate admission.
"However, the representative at the counter said we will have to deposit Rs 10,000 for admission," Priyavrit mentioned. "When we showed them a Religare insurance card, they did not accept it. They asked us to speak to the casualty medical officer. We met the officer and I told him I have left my ATM card at home and hence don't have cash. I requested him to admit Ram and wait till 8am so that I could get cash from my home in Jewar. He seemed inclined to admit Ram but said we will have to ask the night manager Dr Maqbool Haq. When he spoke to Dr Haq, he straightaway refused to admit him, saying he can't be admitted without the payment."
Priyavrit mentioned he then tweeted to chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union minister Mahesh Sharma, whose spouse is the chairman of the Kailash Healthcare Limited, about his enjoy.
Dr Sanil Kapoor, scientific superintendent of Kailash medical institution, informed TOI that Dr SRA Rizvi, the scientific officer of the medical institution posted in the emergency, had mentioned that the family of the patient had simply enquired about admission and the patient was once not present with them at that time.
"We have many patients admitted here who have insurance card," he mentioned.
Sanjay Bali, the consultant of Mahesh Sharma, mentioned the minister was once not conscious about happenings on the medical institution and the medical institution itself could be contacted.
