GREATER NOIDA: A Nigerian expat family has alleged their kid, a student of Class 6 at a CBSE-affiliated college in Greater Noida, was once being sexually assaulted via a college worker within the premises for the last Four-5 years.

According to police, the Nigerian family admitted the boy to the varsity in Class 2 in 2013. "His mother has alleged the child has been sodomised for the past 4-5 years. They had been noticing changes in his behaviour for a while, during which time his academic grades, which were earlier in the 90s, had also seen a steady decline," Surajpur SHO Girish Kotiya informed TOI.

An FIR was once lodged towards Ashok Mishra, who works as a bookseller within the college, below Section 377 (sexual activities towards order of nature) of the IPC and the POCSO (Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. Late on Tuesday, Mishra was once arrested from his place of dwelling within the premises, police stated. No other details had been available.

According to police, Mishra repeatedly assaulted the kid within the college premises, in puts like the washroom. "The family realised the disturbed child was being sodomised, after he was quizzed by his mother," stated Kotiya, including, "Mishra is a married man. He's also an employee of the school."


After the family filed their grievance, police got the kid's scientific exam conducted at the district medical institution in Sector 30. Ajay Agrawal, leader scientific superintendent of the medical institution, informed TOI they have despatched the boy's blood samples to a pathologist, as there is no fast trace of abuse.


A faculty consultant informed TOI she could no longer remark on the topic. District Justice of the Peace B N Singh, who is on excursion, stated he'll start up motion when he returns on Wednesday. The name of the varsity is being withheld to give protection to the identification of the kid.


After Pradhyumn's mother, two petitions were filed within the Supreme Court for protection of kids in school. One of the petitioners is Pradhyumn's father Barun, who has additionally introduced a foundation in his son's name with an intention to make colleges more secure for students.
