23-year-old woman raped by acquaintance in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: Two youths had been booked on Friday for allegedly raping a 23-year-old girl in DLF-2, police mentioned. According to police, the crime took place on night time of November 5 when an acquaintance of the woman, Rajvir Singh, introduced her from Delhi to Gurgaon, where she met any other man and later they took her to a visitor area in DLF-2.

She was raped by Singh and when she attempted to resist, he threatened to kill her.

"Afterwards, I became almost unconscious. Then Singh took me towards Delhi in his car, bought some medicine from a store and fed me. He left me outside my home in Vasant Kunj and fled. My friends and relatives helped me to approach police," the woman mentioned in her criticism. The girl is in the beginning from Mizoram.

The girl registered a case in Vasant Kunj police station on November 8 where a zero FIR was lodged. The criticism was forwarded to Gurgaon police on Thursday who lodged an FIR on Friday.

Singh has been booked below sections 376 (rape) and 506 (legal intimidation) of IPC. "We've registered the case and started an investigation. We're trying to contact the woman and after recording her statement, further action will be taken", mentioned inspector Sudeep Kumar, SHO of DLF-2 police station.
