TIRUPUR: Three minor ladies, who were rescued from prostitution, escaped from a government-recognised house in the town on Friday. Police later managed to catch two of them and ship them again to the home.

The three ladies, elderly between 14 and 17, were rescued on October 28 and October 31. "They were involved in prostitution for many months. Two cases were registered against them in Tirupur north and south all women police stations. The girls were sent to a private home in Ammapalayam, the district's only short-stay home where destitute people and girls, who are victims of prostitution, are lodged for rehabilitation," mentioned an official from the social welfare division.


Police had scheduled to habits scientific exam for the girls. "But, the trio managed to jump over the home's compound wall and escaped on October 26. The girls were talking over phone to some men and escaped with them on two-wheelers," a senior police officer mentioned.


After the managers of the home lodged a complaint, Anupparpalayam police registered a lacking case. Police managed to catch two of them from Kangeyam Road's Rakkiyapalayam. They were produced prior to an ordeal courtroom pass judgement on.


"The girls told police that they escaped as they did not like to stay in the home. They further said that they climbed the 10-ft compound wall using a bucket as support. After they gave assurance that they will not escape again, the two girls were sent to the same home," the officer added.


A seek is still on for the other lady.
