Aura flats due in 2015, over 500 buyers still waiting

Gurgaon: Over 100 investors with apartments in Universal Group's Aura challenge were up in palms towards the developers on Friday, protesting the extended lengthen in final touch and ownership of their houses.

The agitated homebuyers trooped to the office of Universal Buildwell Private Limited in Sohna within the morning and staged an indication.

Developed via Universal Buildwell Private Limited in collaboration with any other agency, the Sector 82-based challenge was once launched in 2010 and was once intended to be completed in 2015. The developer controlled to dump many of the 596 residential devices each costing Rs 60-70 lakh.

"The work was stalled back in June 2015 for reasons best known to the developers. And despite our several requests, they have so far not informed us so as to why the construction has been on hold," said Anil Pathak, probably the most homebuyers.

Sources said the development licence was once issued within the name of Shiv Ganesh Builcon which was once legitimate up to May 2015. "Homebuyers had filed an RTI that revealed that the licence had not been renewed because the developers did not deposit Rs 36 crore aas external development charges to the government. But why should we suffer when we have already made the payments from our end?" requested Itender Pal Singh, probably the most house patrons.


"The homebuyers have already paid over 70% of the cost of the flats. We are paying EMIs as well as rents. And on top of that, we have been running from pillar to post for the possession of our homes," said Seema Kaushik, any other homebuyer.


Some of the aggrieved patrons have already approached the consumer forum neatly as court docket, in the hunt for refund of their cash with passion.


The Universal control did not reply to repeated messages and calls in the hunt for their remark on the claims made via the homebuyers.
