Bhojpur fisherman in Pakistan custody

ARA: A 55-year-old fisherman from Bahuara village underneath Jagdispur block in Bhojpur district, who used to work close to Porbandar in Gujarat, has been within the custody of Pakistan since the past 8 months.


Family members of the fisherman, Bhagwan Choudhary, got here to find out about his captivity handiest when the external affairs ministry despatched a letter to the Bhojpur district management asking it to make sure the address. Jagdispur SDO Kumar Pankaj and BDO Prabhakar Kumar visited Bahuara village on Friday and found that Choudhary in truth hails from the village.


"Choudhary is a resident of Bahuara village. His wife Parvati Choudhary lives with her son Lakshman Choudhary at the village. Lakshman has left for Gujarat in serach of his missing father. Although Pakistani officials arrested Choudhary on espionage charges, he is actually an innocent fisherman," the BDO said.
