GURUGRAM: The exorbitant administrative fees levied on homebuyers through developers on the time of executing conveyance deed (registry) is under the scanner of division of the town and country making plans (DTCP).
Some of the developers are reportedly charging buyers 1-1.Five% of the full price of an unit as administrative charges. For flats of Rs 1 crore, developers ask buyers to pay Rs 1-1.Five lakh, which is in addition to the Five-7% stamp responsibility paid through buyers for execution of conveyance deed.
"Across Haryana, the maximum fee for registration is around Rs 15,000. Any excess amount can't be justified," said a district administration legit.
After repeated proceedings through homebuyers about unrealistic administrative fees, the deputy commissioner (DC) has now directed the district the town planner to investigate the matter.
