GUWAHATI: The class X and class XII board tests carried out by means of the CBSE are prone to commence from the primary working day of March subsequent year, assets informed TOI on Tuesday. There has been a lot of hypothesis in regards to the timing of the tests as three northeastern states - Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya - will cross to polls early subsequent year.
Over one lakh candidates, from the eight northeastern states together with Sikkim, have seemed in the tests in the ultimate couple of years.
The assembly elections in five states, together with Manipur, had ended in the board tests being behind schedule this year. Souces stated the CBSE is discussing the topic and the exam agenda for 2018 shall be announced quickly. A senior board professional identified that the early announcement of the election dates in the poll-bound states shall be a very powerful for taking a choice on the exam agenda.
"Both the class X and XII board exams usually from the first working day of March. The Election Commission will take its time in declaring the polls dates for the assembly elections. But we cannot keep on waiting. So, if the poll dates are not announced soon, CBSE is likely to announce the schedule with the exams beginning in the first week of March," a CBSE professional stated.
Since the assembly elections are not not likely to impact the agenda in the state, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and the Board of Secondary Education, Assam are prone to claim the board exam schedules for the category X and XII tests in December. Both the state board tests are set to commence from February.
"CBSE should declare the schedule at the earliest because students are very anxious about the exam dates," stated Srotaswini Choudhury, a pupil from the town who will appear for her class XII board tests subsequent year. "Rumours about the exam schedule already having been published created confusion a few weeks ago. We are hopeful that the Election Commission will keep the exams in their consideration before declaring the poll schedule," she added.
