NEW DELHI: The rift is widening within the Haryana BJP over the Padmavati row.

The BJP chief who offered a Rs 10 crore "reward" to "behead" Deepika Padukone and Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Wednesday resigned as chief media coordinator of the Haryana unit of the birthday celebration.

The chief, Suraj Pal Amu, took a unique line from the BJP chief minister of the state at the Padmavati row. The CM, ML Khattar, distanced his birthday celebration from Amu's comment and in addition mentioned any determination at the screening of Padmavati within the state can be taken best after the Central Board of Film Certification takes a choice at the movie.
