Restrictions imposed in Valley following the killing of a terrorist

SRINAGAR: Security has been ramped up and restrictions imposed in Srinagar on Saturday following the killing of terrorist Mugees Ahmad Mir.

Curfew-like restrictions had been imposed in eight police stations in the city to forestall regulation and order and deal with safety in the house.

"Restrictions, under section 144 CrPc, will remain in force in Parimpora, Khanyar, M R Gunj, Nowahtta, Maisuma, Kralkhud, Rainawari and Safakadal police station areas tomorrow to prevent any law and order problems," the police stated.

All schools and colleges in the city were closed for the day and classes at the Kashmir University were suspended.

However, there's no restriction on students showing for tests.

"The examination admit cards will be treated as curfew passes for students who are writing exams tomorrow," the police added.

Train services were also suspended.


Mir, a resident of the Paranoia, was an affiliate of Zakir Musa, who left the Hizbul Mujahideen to glide an IS affiliate in Kashmir.


On Friday, 3 militants travelling in a automotive opened hearth on a police crew at the Zakura crossing on Srinagar-Ganderbal street, killing sub-inspector Imran Tak and injuring a different police officer (SPO), the police professional stated.


The police crew controlled to intercept the automobile and apprehended one militant, but two others fled from the scene.


Later, police got here to understand that Mugees Ahmad Mir , probably the most two militants who had controlled to flee, was brought house useless.
