Hubballi: The driving force of a Hubballi-Dharwad non-stop bus has became it into a small Kannada chariot via pasting footage of well known litterateurs and writers throughout the car. Passengers get a glimpse of Kannada writers and learn about them. He additionally plays Kannada songs during the adventure.

Nagaraj Bommannavar mentioned, "I joined the Hubballi depot as a driver four years ago and found that many people would keep talking on their mobiles when they boarded the bus. I hit upon the idea of sticking posters of well-known writers inside the bus so that passengers can get some idea about them."

He added, "I bought around 150 posters of well-known personalities who have contributed to enrich Kannada language and literature with my money. These include noted poet Kuvempu, Da Ra Bendre, Shivaram Karanth, U R Ananthamurthy, Girish Karnad, B R Ambedkar, astronaut Kalpana Chawla and freedom fighters. Now, I plan to put up a brief history of each person so that passengers can get more information of about these prominent personalities."


S M Hiremath, conductor, mentioned, "Passengers have been appreciating our work and they're happy to see the pictures of many Kannada writers."


Nagaratna Kammar, who works in a non-public company in Dharwad and a daily commuter, mentioned, "I've learnt a lot about Kannada writers by seeing their pictures in the bus. I started getting more information about these persons to tell my kids. I really appreciate this work."


Veeranna Mathapati, a daily commuter and ITI worker in a non-public company, mentioned, "I hadn't seen poet Kuvempu's picture until I saw it in the bus. I'v made a note of names of all the writers to learn more about them. It's really good work. Besides, they also play Kannada songs which refresh our minds and inspire us to have regard for our mother tongue."
