Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Corporation has submitted a report to district collector T N Hariharan with a suggestion to delimit and redraw 100 wards in its limits. The collector will name for objections, additions and deletions from most of the people and representatives.
While the selection of wards has not been larger, smaller wards were merged and bigger wards were divided into two or 3 to ensure that the inhabitants of each ward does not exceed 15,000.
The boundaries of the prevailing 100 wards were re-drawn. The 100 wards are divided into five zones.
