GURUGRAM: Residents in DLF spaces have been dealing with energy disruption for hours at a stretch since Thursday night time after an underground cable snapped.
The residents, specifically in DLF four, stated energy went off around 11pm on Thursday and didn't go back during the night. There was once a 6-hour-long outage on Friday, too, they stated. Electric supply was once fluctuating on Saturday also.
"When I called up the officials, they told me that a cable had been damaged because of digging. The quality of maintenance work is quite shoddy and it is reflecting. We have been advising the discom time and again that our areas be de-linked from the Sector 28 substation which will solve this problem. The rest of DLF is connected to the 220kV substation in Sikanderpur. They have round-the-clock supply," stated Anil Puri, a resident of DLF four.
An influence legit stated: "A telecom company was working on its underground line in Sector 28 when it accidentally spanned an 11kV supply line towards DLF 4. It took them 4-5 hours to restore," stated Kuldeep Nehra, subdivision officer, DLF City.
Nehra stated the telecom corporate would fix the strains. "It is often quid pro quo."
