Underworld shootings send bizmen into a tizzy

Mangaluru: Two shootings in a fortnight in Mangaluru Police Commissionerate limits, allegedly through individuals with underworld links has left businessmen in the town a apprehensive lot.
The recent shootings have been on Car Street on December 8 and in Mulki on December 23. In each incidents, two unidentified men opened fired. In the primary instance, bike-borne men opened fire at an employee of M Sanjeeva Shetty Silks and Sarees on Car Street injuring an employee. In Saturday night time's incident two individuals opened fire on the place of abode of a businessman in Mulki. Bike-borne men arrived at businessman M Nagaraj's place of abode, positioned beside the freeway. Don's 2 aides arrested


Two aides of underworld fugitive Kali Yogesh have been arrested near Mulky on Thursday. Police have seized two pistols and seven are living rounds from them. The arrested are Manoj Kunder, 35, and Chandr-ashekara, 32. T R Suresh, town police commissioner, stated that Manoj has direct contacts with Kali Yogesh and in keeping with his instructions he was wearing out the shotings.
