4 arrested for robbing flower merchant of Rs 24 lakh in Belagavi

Belagavi: A workforce of City Crime Investigation Branch (CCIB) police, led by inspector A S Gudigopp, arrested 4 people for allegedly robbing a Tumakuru-based wholesale flower merchant of Rs 24 lakh.
The incident had taken place close to Sagar Hotel on the town outskirts on December 4 when the victim Narayanappa Muddanna used to be ready to board a bus to Tumakuru. A case underneath Section 397 used to be registered at Malmaruti police station. ACP R R Kalyanashetti had shaped a workforce led by Gudigopp to nab the culprits.

Asgharali Nazeerahmed Makandar, 22, a flower merchant from Hukkeri, is the primary accused within the case, IGP (northern vary) Ramachandra Rao informed newshounds right here on Monday.

The three different arrested accused are Umesh Tammanna Bastwade, 25, of Japur village, Yallesh Mahadev Tanugol, 23, and Shashikant Bhimashi Misale, 19, each from Sulebhavi. Another accused Nissar Shabbir Mulla of Hukkeri is absconding. Police have recovered Rs 12.40 lakh from the accused and two bikes used within the crime.


Narayanappa's industry is spread over Kolhapur, Kalaburagi, Hukkeri and lots of towns. Makandar used to be one in all his clients. Narayanappa used to visit Hukkeri once in a month to assemble money from flower vendors. Makandar knew this and hatched a conspiracy to rob Narayanappa with his friends.


The accused adopted Narayanappa from Hukkeri to Belagavi. They threw chilli power into Narayanappa's eyes earlier than robbing him of cash, two cell phones.


Ramachandra Rao, DCP (law and order) Seema Latkar and DCP (crime) Amarnath Reddy favored the CCIB workforce for cracking the case.
