As probably the most acclaimed films of 2017 brought to the fore fresh tales and new voices. And the same reflected on this year's nominations for the 63 rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018 Best Director category.
This year's nominations in the Best Director category featured Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for her sleeper hit 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', Advait Chandan for 'Secret Superstar', Shashank Khaitan for Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt's 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', Saket Chaudhary for one of the vital loved films of the year - 'Hindi Medium', and Shree Narayan Singh for Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'.
