"The second you get dropped from India (the nationwide squad), prices drop which now we have observed in numerous gamers. Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh - (since) they are not playing for India, they didn't get (Rs) 10 or 12 crore," he added.

"So that shows that the credibility and publicity of the IPL is so big that even an uncapped player, who is a player of some other country, wants to play in the IPL."

Almost all cricket-playing nations in finding representation in the IPL which is not the case with different T20 leagues, the 104-Test veteran said.

"The IPL is the largest as a result of all nations' gamers are playing in the IPL, which you would not in finding in some other (cricket) league such as Big Bash, CPL or BPL, where Indian gamers are not there.

"That's why those leagues are not as big. Only in the IPL all global class gamers are playing and this is why IPL is the best on the earth," he emphasised.

On the channel's campaign he said, "Through the Election Se Selection campaign, for the first time Star Sports has given a chance to fans (to pick) the gamers who can play for their favorite workforce.
