'Medical interns’ stipend goes up by Rs 5000 per month

BHUBANESWAR: In a New Year gift for the MBBS scholars, the state authorities on Monday hiked the per month stipend of interns of government-run scientific schools within the state by way of Rs 5000 monthly with retrospective effect from April 1, 2017.
Announcing this right here, health and family welfare minister Pratap Jena mentioned the interns, also called house surgeons, will now get Rs 20,000 monthly in comparison to Rs 15000 monthly earlier.
