ALLAHABAD: At a time when the rustic is facing the problems like child marriage and faculty drop outs, particularly in the remote spaces of the rustic, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has taken the initiative to inspire their scholars, studying in 1100 strange KV's across the nation, to battle those evils.
For the purpose, KVS has made up our minds to turn to its scholars the documentary, 'Driving with Selvi'. All the universities have been requested to make arrangements to turn this documentary to its scholars which is in accordance with the life of the primary girls taxi motive force of south India, and how the girl fights all odds and makes a name for herself.
Driving with Selvi is a Canadian documentary film that makes a speciality of South India's first female taxi motive force, a tender woman named Selvi who had in the past escaped a kid marriage. The film used to be directed by way of Elisa Paloschi. Selvi, like so many girls in India, is a kid bride in a violent marriage. One day she escapes, and goes on to change into South India's first female taxi motive force.
The 52 minute lengthy documentary is the ten year journey of an enthralling, robust, and courageous young woman who defies all expectancies, shifting beyond the ache she's experienced to create a new lifestyles.
The determination of the KV authorities follows the instructions of the Ministry of girls and child construction which had requested the KVS to make association for screening this documentary.
"Sangathan has provided us with a link for screening the film along with the password and abiding by the instructions, we would be showing this 52 minute long documentary to ours students from next month", mentioned principal of KV Old Cantt of the town, Dr Shalini Dikshit.
She added that the timetable of each magnificence can be adjusted in a way that the class can be accommodated in the laptop and resource room so that the students, as according to the schedule of the each magnificence, is shown the documentary.
