SRINAGAR: Soon after thousands joined the funeral of slain Jaish-e-Mohammad militant Fardeen Ahmad Khanday in Pulwama district's Tral, his fatherland, on Friday, the Pakistan-based JeM released a video of 17-year-old Khanday, the son of a police constable, by which he asks Kashmiris to sign up for the "jihad" in opposition to India to determine Islamic rule.
"The rise in jihad has nothing to do with unemployment, as claimed by India; it is a reaction to Kashmir's occupation by India," the slain JeM militant is observed and heard announcing in Urdu in the video. "The kaffirs have occupied our land, the modesty of our women is at stake, so jihad becomes our duty ... therefore, it becomes your duty to fight for azadi," he is heard announcing.
A resident of Nazeen Pora in Tral, south Kashmir, Fardeen Khanday had joined the terrorist outfit in September 2017. His father is a serving police constable, Ghulam Mohammad Khanday.
In the video, which went viral on Monday, Fardeen is shown with an automated rifle, surrounded via several hand grenades and other ammunition, asking Kashmiri Muslims to sign up for the "jihad" as, according to him, India has taken away "our resources and is using them for their betterment". "Besides, our women are not safe and, equally, men are tortured by Indian soldiers," Khanday says in the video.
Fardeen and two other JeM fidayeen were killed when they had attacked a CRPF training camp at Lathpora, in Pulwama district's Awantipora, at 2 am on Sunday. Five CRPF males misplaced their lives in that assault. The bodies of two terrorists were recovered and recognized whilst the third frame was once recovered on Monday when forces combed the premises, according to CRPF particular DG S N Shrivastava.
Khanday stated in his remaining video that by the point the clip went viral, he "would be in paradise". Looking composed, he was once shown reciting the holy Quran to convince Kashmiri formative years, specifically, to sign up for "jihad".
In the virtually 8-minute video, the highly indoctrinated Fardeen talks about the demolition of the Babri Masjid and about terror assaults at quite a lot of places. He praises the Jaish very best commander, Maulana Masood Azhar, and says that "they (India) give the impression that the Jaish-e-Mohammad is finished, but it will remain and is intact". Fardeen may be heard praising Afzal Guru, hanged for the assault on Parliament.
Fardeen Ahmad Khanday, an intelligence officer stated, were lacking since September 15, 2017. He had become a dreaded terrorist and was once virtually a "moving bomb", the intelligence officer stated.
Meanwhile, thousands of residents of adjoining villages marched towards the house of Fardeen Khanday to sign up for his funeral at Nazeen Pora amidst the chanting of pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans.
