WASHINGTON: Apple Inc is seeing "strong demand" for replacement iPhone batteries and disclosed it is considering providing rebates for consumers who paid full price for brand new batteries, the company stated in a February 2 letter to US lawmakers made public on Tuesday.
Apple showed in December that instrument to maintain growing older batteries in iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and iPhone SE models could slow down efficiency. The company apologized and diminished the price of battery replacements for affected models from $79 to $29.
