GURUGRAM: The district administration on Monday mentioned it might step up measures towards underage driving and carry out run an consciousness campaign in the city.

Deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh also appealed to citizens not to permit youngsters, below the age of 18 years, to drive cars. He mentioned that because of lack of understanding of visitors regulations, minors don't drive correctly, which makes them susceptible to highway accidents.


Singh also steered further commissioner of police (visitors) Usha Kundu to rope in highway safety officials to spread the message in parents-teacher conferences held in all of the colleges of Gurgaon.


Kundu assured Singh of issuing challans to underage drivers, which can even lend a hand curb the number of underage drivers on city roads.


During the meeting, Singh also steered NHAI officers to make sure that the lights preparations are made in Signature Tower and Rajiv Chowk underpasses where commuters are facing issues.
