Naveen Patnaik urges Centre for direct flight between Bhubaneswar and Pune

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday instructed the Centre to introduce direct flight between Bhubaneswar and Pune.
In a letter to Union civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the executive minister stated Bhubaneswar and Pune percentage a protracted standing dating between the two distinguished tutorial and IT hubs of the country.


"Many academicians and IT professionals frequently visit both the places. Besides, tourists from Pune undertake journey to various places like Puri, Konark and Chilka while the people of Odisha visit Shirdi, Mahabaleswar, Trimbakeswar near Pune," Naveen noted.


The leader minister stated since there was once no direct flight between the two cities, passengers must take flight by way of Hyderabad or Mumbai which is dearer and time eating.


Seeking his private intervention at the issue, Naveen instructed Raju to introduce direct flight between Bhubaneswar and Pune either by means of the Air India or any other private airways.


The leader minister right through his visit to Pune on January 21 to receive an award assured the Odia neighborhood to start up steps for creation of direct flight between these two places.
