GREATER NOIDA: Many class 10 and 12 scholars had to write their board assessments in semi-dark conditions because of non-availability of top power bulbs on a cloudy day in exam centres in Kasna and Sakipur of Greater Noida.
The drawback used to be aggravated for those scholars who had been writing their assessments in the early morning shift that started at 7:30 am on a cloudy Tuesday.
Noting the lack of visibility all over an inspection of at least 3 centres- Shri Amichand Inter College, Kasna and Nehru Smarak Inter College in Sakipur the district magistrate BN Singh and the SSP Love Kumar directed the centre superintendents to put in top power bulbs on the centres sooner than the following exam in order that the scholars don't have to stand this case again.
"It was felt that more bulbs are required at around three-four centres and it was directed to ensure the same," the DM instructed TOI.
Students could be noticed writing assessments in deficient visibility in the 16 purposeful rooms on the Nehru Smarak Inter College, Sakipur and 14 purposeful rooms of the Shri Amichand Inter College, Kasna. Poor electrical energy connection created drawback in any other centre.
"We had already installed 100 watt bulbs in each of the rooms but after the DM and other officials pointed out that light seemed insufficient, we immediately procured 200 watt LED bulbs and got them installed in each of the rooms," Dr Ashok Kumar Dwivedi, centre superintendent, Shri Amichand Inter College instructed TOI.
Shiv Sharma, centre superintendent, Nehru Smarak Inter College, Sakipur instructed TOI that while that they had already put in one bulb in every room, they have got ordered any other bulb to be put in in every of the 16 purposeful rooms.
In the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Inter College, Surajpur, deficient electrical energy connection used to be noted because of which mild remained off for a couple of minutes.
Tarachand, centre superintendent instructed TOI that the relationship used to be fastened soon after the DM's seek advice from.
