Bengaluru: The Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP), which boasts of several exotic animals, will soon upload a three-year-old feminine giraffe to its kitty.
Thirteen-foot-tall Babli can be transferred from Mysuru Zoo below an animal-exchange programme. This is the primary time BBP can be welcoming a giraffe for which the government had been making an attempt for over 5 years. Another giraffe from Mysuru Zoo, Mary, will sign up for Babli after a few weeks.
"A few of our staffers are already in Mysuru to get acquainted with the animal. With all formalities over, the giraffe should be at BBP in two-three weeks," a BBP professional said.
The giraffe can be transported to Bannerghatta on a long-chasis truck on which a container can be mounted to position the animal. "We will take care about the high-tension cables on the way and other obstacles," he added.
