LUDHIANA: Nine days after chief minister Amarinder Singh spotted unlawful mining at the Satluj riverbed in Nawanshahar from his chopper, city police commissioner R N Dhoke on Wednesday disregarded Meharban police station SHO Jarnail Singh for no longer acting on one such grievance and perilous the complainant with the dire consequences.
The most sensible cop took action towards the SHOunder Article 311 (2) (b) of the Constitution. The Inspector was already beneath suspension since March 12, for deriliction of duty and being allegedly biased in a grievance relating to encroachment.
On March 12, sarpanch of village Boothgarh Amrinder Singh Soni complained to CP Dhoke, along with an an audio clip, that the inspector being rude to him and perilous to hotel an FIR towards him.
