COIMBATORE: Coimbatore Corporation commissioner Okay Vijayakarthikeyan on Friday offered the civic frame’s funds for the year 2018-19. Here are the highlights of the funds.
- The corporation will repair roads (69.14km), which have been damaged because of underground sewage and water provide works, at a price of Rs 40 crore with financial the aid of the Tamil Nadu Urban Road Infrastructure Project.
- A subway shall be constructed below the Thadagam Road close to Avila Convent School at a price of Rs 1.50 crore.
- The corporation will arrange a refuse derived gas (RDF) manufacturing plant and machineries at an estimated cost of Rs 13.35 crore.
- Rs 5.05 crore shall be spent on bettering eight parks in the town.
- Digital show forums to disseminate knowledge gained from air quality screens shall be arrange in 30 locations. The concessionaire has to pay Rs 18 lakh in step with annum to the corporation for putting in and maintaining them.
- Bull dozers, unmanned aerial vehicles and fireplace tenders shall be purchased at a price of Rs 3.70 crore.
- CCTVs shall be put in in urban primary well being centres at a price of Rs20 lakh.
- A scheme road close to Selvapuram Housing unit by way of Selvachinthamani tank shall be constructed. For land acquisition and formation of the street, Rs 20 crore has been allotted.
- Rs 20 lakh has been allotted to impart robotics training on corporation upper secondary college students.
