NEW DELHI: An aide of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim has been dropped at Mumbai after being deported from Dubai, news agency ANI has reported.
Farooq Takla fled India after the 1993 blasts in Mumbai, and a Red Corner Notice was once issued in opposition to him in 1995.
He will be produced ahead of a TADA courtroom in the town.
Senior suggest Ujjwal Nikam called the improvement a "big blow" to the don's gang.
"This is a huge success. He was involved in 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, the links of which can be traced back to Dubai. This is a big blow to D-Gang," Nikam said.
Earlier this week, legal attorney Shyam Keswani had said that Dawood himself was once "keen to return to India" however with sure preconditions, that have been not appropriate to the Indian executive.
One of the stipulations laid down by way of the gangster is that he be lodged in the high-security Arthur Road Central Jail (ARCJ) in Mumbai.
